The new CRA repeater site is called Westcreek. It is located southwest of Larkspur at 9200 feet elevation. A team of 11 hams representing the CRA, ARESDEC, and RMHam traveled to the site on Saturday 11/11/2017 to install racks, run cable, install conduit and AC outlets, install lightning protection, mount antennas and feedlines on the tower, install a UHF multicoupler/combiner and make low loss jumpers.
After 35 years, the CRA is moving from its Conifer repeater site. Our sincere thanks to the Elk Creek Fire District for hosting us all these years while we have provided support to the community during fires, floods, blizzards, severe summer storms and other times of community need.
The upgraded link hardware for 145.460 to link it to 147.225 and 145.160 is complete and has been installed at the club's Eldorado Mountain site. The link is now operational. The Eldorado Mountain repeater site with 145.460 and 447.975 provides excellent coverage of Boulder, Denver metro, and areas to the northeast.
The new hardware to put 224.980 back on the air is almost ready. When complete, we'll be installing it at the club's Conifer Mountain site and linking it again with 147.225.
